Fishing report August 27 - September 2

Every sunset on Lake of the Woods is both different and spectacular. Dave took this one from his plane.
Our week starts out with cloudy weather. Temperatures are in the 70's with cooling overnight into the 60's and even 50's. Guides report the water temperature is 73 degrees. Walleyes are on rock points in 25 - 30 feet of water and ¼ ounce pink or green jigs are working well. Muskies are on deep reefs, and northern pike are on rock points entering weedy bays. Bull Dawgs are producing muskies and crank baits in orange and black are working well for northerns. Crappies are in deep open water in 30 - 35 feet of water and being caught on ⅛ ounce pink or green jigs.
