Fishing report: July 3 - 9

A very fun family tradition here at Duck Bay Lodge is the Lohmiller / Catton families who gather for their annual "Fishing with Grandpa" trip. John and his wife Penny have been coming to Duck Bay for seventeen years, then began including their children and grandchildren the past seven years. Every year they design a new and very brightly colored shirt for the trip. In fact this week, we have had a number of 3 generation groups; a very special time to make memories together. And our two grandson Phoenix and Hudson are visiting us for the week as well. Some of the nice fish being caught are:

Mike Strong (Cincinnati, OH), a 46 inch muskie and a 19 inch smallmouth; in one day Mike's group of 4 family members caught over 100 northern pike

Jeff Ploeger (Burlington, IA), a 25 inch walleye

Ben Kennard (Cincinnati, OH), a 39 inch northern

Parker Kramlich (Hartland, WI), a 38 inch muskie

Denny Cahill (Marshalltown, IA), a 32 inch northern

Brack Strong (Hamilton, OH), a 32 inch northern

Scott Strong (Cincinnati, OH), a 19 inch smallmouth and a 20 inch snapping turtle!

Chip Lohmiller (Cross Lake, MN), a 22 inch walleye

Duck Bay guide Trevor Chant, a 27 inch walleye

Mike Catton (Maple Grove, MN), a bunch of crappies

There is still time for you to get in on the fun! See all remaining available dates in our blog posting titled "2016 availability".
