Fishing report: June 5 - 11

After a couple of weeks with gloomy weather, and a good deal of rain, the sun is finally shining. Daytime temperatures are in the high 60's and overnight is in the 50's.
Walleyes are being found in large quantities on sand and rock in 14 - 20 feet of water; pink jigs are the "hot" color. Northern pike are being caught in shallow weedy bays using any color of spinnerbaits or Mepps. Smallmouth bass are on their spawning beds in sandy bays. They're being caught on tube jigs and spinnerbaits.
