Fishing report September 10 - 16

Fishing report from the Duck Bay guides: walleyes are in 15-20 feet on sand and mud flats out of the weeds; they're being caught on pink and white lead jigs. Northern pike are in 10-15 feet of water on weed beds; Mepps #5 in white and red are working well. Muskies are on shallow weed beds off rock or sand shorelines. The water temperature is 63 degrees.

Jennifer Schmidt (Somonauk, IL), a 45 ½ inch muskie and 37 inch northern pike

Forrest Rackmyer (Somonauk, IL), 46 and 43 inch muskies and 21 inch walleye

Gary Olson (Mitchellville, IA), a 35 ½ inch muskie on his first cast of the day

Jennifer Schmidt (Somonauk, IL), a 17 inch smallmouth and 30 inch northern pike

Larry Olson (St. Cloud, MN), an 18 inch smallmouth and a 34 inch muskie while fishing for smallmouth bass

Steve Strand (Marshalltown, IA), a 47 inch muskie

Donna Sidmore (Aurora, IL), a 17 ½ inch smallmouth bass

Phil Driver (La Quinta, CA), a 38 inch muskie and 34 and 31 inch northern pike

Nori Umemoto (San Jose, CA), a 25 inch walleye

Chris Grimm (Burlington, IA), a 36 inch northern pike
