Fishing report: September 25 - 30

Pictured is Phil Sobol with a beautiful 40 inch northern he caught last week; also pictured is guide Bill Luney. This week is our last full week open for the 2016 season. We're sad to see it end. The trees are really turning golden and the weather has been very beautiful.
Some of the nice fish being caught are:
Harold Heather (Genoa, IL), a 46 inch muskie on a jig and minnow!
"Doc" Gregie (Bloomingdale, IL), a 38 inch northern
Laurie Puerta (Scottsdale, AZ), two 20 inch walleyes
Bruce Wasson (Yorkville, IL), a 26 inch walleye
Harold Heather (Genoa, IL), a 39 inch northern
Bruce Wasson (Yorkville, IL) and Harold Heather (Genoa, IL) had a "complaint" this week, and it was a good problem to have. They had caught over 60 walleyes in one day, but were having trouble finding any that were small enough to keep (under 18 inches). Out of their days catch, Bruce had two 23 inch and Harold a 21 inch. On another day, both Bruce and Harold each caught two 21 inch walleyes.
David Slager (Glendale, AZ) and Mark Lange (St. John, IN), over 100 fish in one day including three 18 inch walleyes
Jim Tiffany (Hayward, WI), a 37 inch northern.
