Fishing report: September 4 - 11
Doesn't this beautiful picture conjure up images of a perfect summer day? Great weather, the sun is shining, and a whole day of fishing with a good friend ahead of you. Photo taken by guest Eric Schaaf during his recent trip with good friend Kevin Duffy.
Walleyes are being caught in 15-20 feet of water on points leading into sand bays; black or pink ¼ ounce jigs tipped with minnows are bringing them in. Northern pike are on points in 10-12 feet of water and being caught on spinner baits or rattle traps. Bass are in 10-15 feet of water. Muskies are on deep rock piles; bucktails in black / orange or black / silver are hot. Crappies are being caught in large quantities in 20-30 feet of water.
