Fresh or canned?
Canadian Thanksgiving is always the second Monday in October. At church, Pastor Dave Ens started his sermon by asking who was serving canned cranberry sauce and who was serving fresh cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving. After the show of hands, he concluded by totally trash talking canned cranberry sauce and told everyone they must try his personal favorite - fresh cranberries simmered in a bit of water with sugar, and a touch of orange zest mixed in. Can't recall the rest of the sermon from that day, but everyone was laughing and talking later about the great cranberry debate! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family next Thursday!
