Pictured is Sam Martel (Darien, IL) with a 48 inch muskie caught last week. During his fishing trip, Sam caught his first muskie ever - 41 inches, then a few days later, this 48 inch!

The biggest walleye of the year so far has been caught by Jim Blissenbach, pictured above with his 28 ½ inch fish.

John Lohmiller (Crosslake, MN) looks surprised by this monster 52 inch muskie! And he should be! John was fishing for walleyes with 6 pound test and a blue/green jig and the muskie swallowed the walleye he was reeling in. This happened to him a couple years ago, the same scenario with a 49 inch muskie.

As is typical with June, guests are reporting catching a lot of walleyes; see some of this week's nice catches...

The weather has been very changeable this week. A nice sunny warm day one day, then rain and cold the next; but it looks to be stabilizing. One thing never changes - our glorious sunsets!
