Spring is a great time to walleye fish...
Since we've had an early ice-out this year, the walleye opener, should be prime time! Walleye open always on the third Saturday in May, which is May 20th this year. After the lake thaws and the water begins to warm, the fish become active, feeding aggressively after the long winter months. Throughout the end of May and through June, we find both large quantities of walleye, with some of our largest fish caught also. Quantity and quality.
As the water warms, walleyes begin to move to deeper reefs and points. Our guides are on the water every day, continually tracking where the fish are. So no matter what time of year you're able to come up, we'll get you on them.
At Duck Bay Lodge we open on May 18th and close on September 30th; there is still some space available. Call us if a fishing trip will work for you this year!
