Fishing report June 23 - 29

Guide report: Walleyes are on mid-lake humps in 20-26 feet of water. Northern pike are on rocky shorelines in 6-8 feet of water; black & orange and white & red spinnerbaits are working well. Muskies are being found in weedy bays and bass are on their spawning beds.
The biggest walleye of the year so far has been caught by Jim Blissenbach, pictured above with his 28 ½ inch fish. Other nice catches this week are:
Shyla McFarland (Excelsior, MN), two 26 inch walleyes and a 34 inch northern
Rob Lukowski (Griffith, IN), a 40 inch muskie
Lisa Zegers (Winneconne, WI), a 41 inch muskie - her first ever! As well, 27 ½, 24 ½ & 21 inch walleyes
Kortlynd Lukowski (Griffith, IN), a 30 inch northern
Andrew McFarland (Shorewood, MN), a 22 inch walleye
David McFarland (Excelsior, MN), a 22 inch walleye
Colin Lukowski (Crown Point, IN), a 4 ½ pound smallmouth
Dan Lukowski (LaPorte, IN), a 32 inch northern
Kevin Salvino (Burr Ridge, IL), a 26 inch walleye
Tom Dunn (Belton, MO), a 45 inch muskie
John Liebler (Cornelius, NC), a 19 ½ inch smallmouth; as well, his first muskie and the largest fish he has ever caught - a 44 inch muskie!
