Fishing report: May 22 - 28

Fishing report: May 22 - 28

When we arrived at Duck on May 11th, the spring weather turned from being very lovely to 2 days of snow, wind, sleet and rain. Thankfully that passed quickly and the past week has seen temperatures in the low to high 70's. A bit of rain is in the forecast for this week, but the fire hazard is high, so it is needed.

If you're still considering a trip in the next few weeks, there is still one cabin available for these dates: May 24 - 31, June 1 - 5 and anytime between June 14 - 22.

Some of the fish being caught are:

Gene Novak (Pittsburg, PA) and Ed Dschida (Johnsburg, IL) have caught an average of 50 fish each day of their trip. The largest were a 26 inch walleye (Ed) and 31 inch northern (Gene)

Donn Boring (Racine, WI), a 35 inch northern off the dock at Duck Bay Lodge; as well a 21 inch walleye

new staff member Jessica Pimentel caught her first two fish ever, a couple of walleyes

Siddha Pinabella (Racine, WI), a 22 inch walleye (Siddah pictured above with guide Bill) and a 20 inch smallmouth bass

April Buttman, a 24 inch walleye

Duck Bay guide Jimmy, a 23 inch walleye; one of 50 walleyes he caught in a couple hours.
